Norden Reach Focused data products from the public record

Norden Reach

Methodology

Everything we publish is a restatement of the public record — never an estimate, never an inference. This page describes how a government filing becomes a published, cited fact.

The pipeline

01

Collected

Pulled from government registries, filings and open-data portals — never scraped from secondary sources.

02

Normalised

Mapped to one schema per entity type, resolved across sources, and checked against the previous export.

03

Published, cited

Rendered as a declarative sentence carrying its source, as-of date and licence — with JSON-LD for the machines.

04

Watched

Schema-drift watchers sit on every upstream feed. If a registry changes shape, we know before you read a stale number.

Highland Valley Copper is a producing copper mine in the Thompson-Nicola district of British Columbia.

BC MINFILE · as-of date · OGL-BC 2.0 Illustrative — every fact carries its own source

A build gate enforces this: if a public fact cannot be rendered as a cited sentence, the site does not ship.

Sources & cadence

We read primary registers only — the agency that holds the legal record, not aggregators. Each publication is refetched on the cadence its record actually changes, and the as-of date is printed on every number.

Gaps & corrections

We publish the gap

Where a register isn’t machine-readable — or a backfill is pending — the record reads as absent, not zero. We say so on the page rather than infer around it.

Corrections are upstream-first

If a published fact disagrees with its source, the next fetch corrects it and the as-of date moves. Spot one we missed? Tell us and we’ll trace it to the filing.
